DSCFI Data Methodology
Last reviewed: July 29, 2026
DSCFI provides daily and forward-looking container freight-rate signals. It is designed to help shipping professionals observe market direction and compare freight information across supported routes.
Data sources
DSCFI uses market quotations supplied by third-party freight forwarders. Sample providers are primarily freight-forwarding companies with digital freight-rate management capabilities. The platform may also present route, schedule, historical-rate and tracking information from its supported data services.
Processing and presentation
Submitted quotations are interpreted, reorganized and analyzed before being presented as market signals. Forward-looking data may cover upcoming weeks. Coverage varies by route, carrier, product and data availability, so not every capability is available for every shipment.
Update frequency
Index information is intended for daily publication. Route, schedule, rate and tracking information is dynamic and may change as new source data becomes available.
Limitations
DSCFI does not represent every transaction in the container freight market. Quotations may differ from completed transaction prices and may be affected by route, equipment, surcharges, validity periods and commercial terms. Users should confirm current information before making operational decisions.
